Hej, Hi, Hoi!
I am Darek.

Nice to see you here. I'm a designer based in Den Haag, and I've been running Designariusz since 2024.

I like to work on projects that have something to say and prove: that thoughtful design is worth more than AI slop. Usually that's small businesses and creatives who give a damn about how they look and want something DAMN good out of it.

This page is the closest thing to meeting me without leaving your chair. Have a look around, there's a bit of everything below.

DISCOVERY

01

brief

scope

quote

discovery call

Questions first! Most projects go sideways because nobody asked the boring ones.

You fill in a brief, I read it, and then we talk about what you actually need.

Scope and price come out of that conversation.

UX

02

MOODBOARDS

User flows

research

User personas

sitemaps

Before anything, a moodboard and structure. I look at how your competition does, research who the site is for and what they came for, then map out what goes where.

This is the unglamorous part, and it's the part that decides whether your business gives a damn.

DESIGN

03

Wireframes

Visual design

RWD

design system

Prototype

This is the longest stage and the one where your input matters most.

Colour, type scale, spacing. The components get built as a system that keeps everything consistent.

By the end you've got a clickable prototype and you see how it behaves before it exists.

BUILD

04

Development

Accessibility

Testing

Launch

After the hardest part, which is agreeing on the designs, we can start implementing them!

The stack depends on the project. Testing happens here too. Anything broken gets fixed before launch, not after.

CARE

05

Ongoing support

Backups

Updates

fixes

Launch isn't the end of it!

It's the point where the site starts collecting problems: updates, fixes, backups, the small changes that come up once real people start using it.

Optional, and probably worth it.

Why work with me?

ONE PERSON

01

I'm a designer who learned to build. Your emails come straight to me, and I'm the one working on your project. You always know who to ask.

Made for your brand

02

I don't have one template I put everyone in. Your site gets designed around your brand, so it actually looks like you.

THERE'S USUALLY ANOTHER WAY

03

Someone told you your idea “can't be done”? Send it my way. Most ideas that sound impossible just need a different approach.

Thought through, not generated

04

Every design decision is mine. How I use AI along the way is in my AI Policy.

Boring details

Polish guy living in the Netherlands. Outside of work I play games (the board ones too!), read books and try to keep moving, mostly hiking and the gym. You’d assume I never get bored, but sometimes I can’t pick a single thing to do, so I end up doing nothing. Procrastination in full swing.

If I’m not designing, I’m probably thinking about it. Recently I built RiftBuddy, a companion app for a trading card game, from the idea to a live web app. That’s usually how I learn things, the hard way.

Frequently Asked Questions

What languages do you work in?

English and Polish.

How much does a website cost?

I start at €600, which covers a simple one-page WordPress site. Past that I price per project, because the scope decides the price and every business needs something else. I don't have one template I put everyone in.

How long does it take?

Two weeks minimum for a website, and that's me working alone on it. Bigger projects run to a month or longer, depending on how much there is to build.

Can I edit the site myself?

Yes, if you tell me at the start. Then it goes on WordPress, where you change texts and images without calling anyone.

Which platform do I need?

Tell me what the site has to do and I'll pick the stack. WordPress if you want to edit it yourself, Shopify if you're selling, custom when neither is enough.

How many rounds of changes are included?

Usually three per project. Anything beyond that comes at an extra cost.

Can you refresh a brand I already have?

Yes! I did it with K-Wood and it was a successful brand refresh. It depends on what your brand needs, but usually the answer is yes!

Who owns the site once it's done?

Once the payment is complete, you own your website. I hand it over and you decide what happens to it next. If I keep looking after it, I'll be like a guard who feels it's his, but in general, paid work is yours! If you'd rather go with a licence, no problem, we can do that too.

How do payments work?

We agree on this during our first conversation. Usually I start with 30% upfront, before the build I need 60% already paid, and at handoff it's 100%. You won't get access to the site, the code or the design files until the full amount is paid.
