UI/UX design

about the project

CuppaCove project was created as part of my final assignment for the Digital Designer course. This task required creating a new, original website concept for a fictional café and coworking space. The project involved several key phases of UX design, including developing user personas, defining conversion goals, designing user flows, and building a sitemap. I then created lo-fi wireframes, designed high-fidelity layouts for both desktop and mobile, and implemented interactive prototypes. The result is a complete, user-friendly design that reflects the needs of freelancers and entrepreneurs looking for a creative workspace.

Project goal

The primary goal of this project was to develop a visually appealing and functional website that enhances user experience while driving table reservations and workspace bookings. The design focused on providing clear navigation, user-friendly flows, and interactive elements that guide users smoothly through their decision-making process. All aspects were aligned with the requirements of the course, focusing on both desktop and mobile designs with a responsive and scalable approach.

Problem statement

The purpose of the CuppaCove project was to design a user-centered website that meets both business goals and user needs. As part of my final Digital Designer course project, I worked through each phase of UX design and web development preparation—from persona creation to high-fidelity mockups. The project was crafted with careful attention to user experience, conversion optimization, and aesthetic appeal, with the goal of making space reservations and café browsing easy and enjoyable.

Research

I focused on understanding the needs of the target audience for the CuppaCove project. This involved gathering insights about potential users who might benefit from a café with coworking spaces.

I developed personas and defined key conversion goals to guide the design process, ensuring that the website would effectively meet user needs and support business objectives.

User Personas

These personas guided design decisions to ensure the website was user-centric and addressed the real needs of potential customers.

Conversion

Several key conversion goals were established to enhance user engagement and drive business outcomes:

  • Event Registration:
Encourage users to sign up for various events hosted at CuppaCove, enhancing community interaction and increasing foot traffic.

  • Table Reservations:
Facilitate an easy and intuitive booking process for users to reserve coworking spaces directly through the website.

  • Instagram Follows:
Increase brand visibility and engagement by prompting users to follow CuppaCove on Instagram for updates, promotions, and community content.

  • Menu Exploration:
Drive users to explore the „Menu” section, encouraging them to learn more about the offerings and fostering interest in dining options while working.

user flows

User flows were created to streamline the processes for each conversion goal, ensuring that users can easily navigate from initial interest to taking action. Each flow was optimized for user experience to reduce friction and increase conversion rates.

sitemap

I developed a sitemap that outlines the structure of the CuppaCove website. The sitemap organizes key pages and user paths to facilitate easy navigation and ensure users can quickly access important information.

components

I designed a set of reusable UI components to ensure consistency across the entire website and enhance the user experience. These components were created with flexibility in mind, making it easy to scale and maintain the design system.
